Stacking stat down debuffs with multiple characters increases the stat down effect. (Note that this does not apply to Break/Topple/Daze, which are not debuffs.) However, some debuffs can stack across characters. When a character inflicts a debuff on an enemy and inflicts the same debuff again before the old one wears out, the new one overrides the old one.
There are several areas in the game where it is quite easy to fall off of high ledges, so be careful. Lava, Ether lakes, poisonous swamps, or anything hazardous! You can fall to your death. If you die, you will start at the last landmark you passed, so if you're close to discovering a new landmark and you get KO'd,you will have to start all over again. So its best to plan ahead your retreat in case something does not go your way in battle before tackling a powerful monster. With that all your party members will stop their attacks and abilities but be warned, some enemies will chase you and some will eventually stop chasing you. If a battle does not go your way, go to the middle command, choose the green button, and run to flee from the battle.
Even though it gains you more EXP, AP and SP and more treasure it will put your party and life at risk. It is best to stay away from them at all costs as it is not necessary to fight every monster. At some parts in the game, you will encounter very powerful enemies along the way that are far too powerful for the time being.
